One more thing I forgot, there needs to be a bulk fix version update. Vinod asked me not to update for 2.8.0 when I updated for 3.0.0-alpha1, but basically there are a lot of JIRAs in 2.6.x and 2.7.x that also need a 2.8.0 fix version so the changelog diffs correctly with 2.7.0.
I posted the scripts I used to do this for 3.0.0-alpha1.
