Hello,

I am using fuse_dfs api along with hdfs. Fuse_dfs uses libhdfs to call the
appropriate hdfs functions. I found that there are two variables used in
hdfs - buffer size and blocksize. While the buffer size is 4096 bytes, the
block size is 67108864 bytes (64MB). Could some please explain to me the
difference between the two, and what is the use of having a 4K buffer for
reads and writes.

Thanks,
Aastha.
