Dear Safranim, In my role at Western Washington University Libraries I am responsible for curating our Holocaust & Genocide Studies (HGST) Collection. To this point I have focused on the "H" in "HGST," since that's where my subject expertise and language skills reside. However, I was recently presented with an unexpected (and somewhat time-sensitive) opportunity to develop our holdings relating to other genocides (Armenia, Cambodia, Rwanda, etc.), and I am wondering if others on this list have found themselves in similar situations.
If you have prior collection development experience in genocide studies (especially in a Rare Books & Special Collections context), I would love to chat.
