I received the below question from someone planning to apply to library schools in the U.S., the UK, and Europe and were wondering if library degrees are recognized across borders: Do you know if library degrees received in the UK and Europe are recognized in the U.S. and vice versa or do any of these areas require recertification of any kind to work as a librarian in their country if you received a library degree in another country?
