You may be right from pure aesthetics point of view. In single edit lines your view point is OK, I will change them. But for edit boxes, it is more appropriate to apply monospaced fonts, after all, we are dealing with code off-shoots. For example, in source files listing in Project Properties, at times it is needed that sources be alligned properly to visualize some facts. Similarly, in Environments dialog too it is required as we will be editing them regularily. A GUI font is always a pain in the neck to be modified properly. May be I am getting old, but the general fact remain the same.
