It'd be generic but very slow to parse potentially 
infinite or deep dir structures routinely, just to 
find some matching .hbc files.

Maybe, and it could potentially be better, since 
it would work regardless of packaging, I don't 
know who will do it though. It would also need to 
maintain a large number of additional Makefile, 
so just for the sake of winuni packaging, the 
work seems overkill.
