For me it's little hard to see why having different color schemes for different tabs is useful. But even if it is for some ppl, I think it's quite unusual feature, so I'd stick to well known default setting in this case rather than speciality, IOW I'd make the per tab setting an extra option, rather than the reverse. Current behavior simply feels buggy, as there is no feedback or change at all after changing color settings. >> Plus, I can't see the default theme being selected >> in the 'Manage themes' dialog, and I also can't see >> any visible change when I click 'Apply' in this dialog. >> Same applies to 'Set default theme' menu, which just >> seem to do nothing (at least visibly). >> > > It does. If I want to change the colors I wouldn't necessarily like to close all file tabs and reopen them just to apply this color to each of them. I've never seen such behavior in any other IDE so far. Displaying default will leave this matter confusing. IMO per file theme should be set in a per file properties dialog, along with tab, EOL, codepage and possibly other per file settings (per file overrides rather). Ideally there should be an option to set any of these to 'default' value, in which case it falls back to global setting. >> Also, maybe 'Set default theme' could be integrated >> inside 'Manage themes', by adding 'Set as default' >> menu, splitting them is a little bit confusing, >> although this is least of an issue. >> > > Yes, current implementation was in a rush. > All options belong to themes must be contained into > themes dialog. Thank you.
