This is current behavior. Anyhow now we are supporting nearly all VARIANT types so such RTE can appear rather seldom and can greatly help to locate possible problems. Please note that it's possible that we moved RDDADO code from contrib to example due to problems in HBWIN OLE code unnoticed because such RTE was not generated. BTW I'm still waiting for verification of reported RDDADO problems with current HBWIN OLE code.
