Not such strange if you look at this code:

   #ifdef __HARBOUR__
      #define EOL    hb_osNewLine()
   #else
      #define EOL    chr( 13 ) + chr( 10 )
   #endif
   EOL

Clipper and Harbour behavior is the same if you also use the same
EOL macro value.
