I think you are right, but can it even be done? Without an event loop it's not much of a Windows app, and if I try and put all that stuff in, it might as well be HWGUI. Plus, although I am very keen for this to work, I am at about the limit of what I can justify in terms of my time. It does work in other ways, and I will just have to use that.
