hi,

r12131, linux (x64), gcc 4.3:

Generating /tmp/hb/bin/hb-build...
Creating links...
Making libharbour-2.0.0.so...
/usr/bin/ld: ./libhbusrrdd.a/usrrdd.o: relocation R_X86_64_32S against `a local
symbol' can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC
./libhbusrrdd.a/usrrdd.o: could not read symbols: Bad value
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
Making libharbourmt-2.0.0.so...
/usr/bin/ld: ./libhbusrrdd.a/usrrdd.o: relocation R_X86_64_32S against `a local
symbol' can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC
./libhbusrrdd.a/usrrdd.o: could not read symbols: Bad value
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

why is -fPIC commented out in config/linux/gcc.cf? i'd think that
there must a good reason for that, but i can not think of any.
przemek, perhaps?
