Both are only happening when the active tab is either the
listbox+scrollbars,
or the multiline text. The checkbox tab doesn't flicker.
Flicker with MsgBox() - I have no clue how to solve it. May be QT's
default
implementation.
Probably there is a way, I can't recall seeing such effect
in other QT app. Even the QT demos are quite flicker-free.
I hope you'll find the way.

Did you tried this demo with Xbase++ ?
I have only an old demo (1.8) which I can run ATM
(even this only as Administrator), but it has missing
externals (toolbar/statusbar classes) when trying to
build demoxbp.
