Teo,

Thanks for answering my question. Why it is not in Harbor?
AFAIK any contrib Harbour can run on xHarbour. Not is forbidden the use of
__XHARBOUR__

True.

IMHO wxWidgets is a recognized GUI lib used in software such as
Code::Blocks, pgAdmin III or wxScintilla.
Is equally interesting that Qt and think about what is best is the same
that between contrib of MySQL and PostgreSQL :)

If there is enough interest and the group have no objection, I have no problem to move the wxHarbour GUI toolkit project to the Harbour contrib's
dir.

Thanks Teo. This needs some work to adapt it to our make system
and making it work on all the supported platforms, so I'd say let's do
this after the release to not add any delay.

AFAICS adapting wxHarbour's current make system to our GNU Make
one isn't a trivial task, so as a first step you may try to close it to our
structure. Just an idea.

With hbmk2 this isn't a problem, but we don't have yet the option to
use it in our mainstream build process (contrib included). If we would
place wxHarbour in examples, this wouldn't be an issue however.
Same applies to xhb builds: in contrib it isn't easily possible, with hbmk2
it's easy. Also the dependencies can be not that easily handled
(I'm building wxMSW right now to better see), so maybe adding it to
'examples' would give us more freedom and would allow us to add it
right now, if that's okay with you.

To sum it up:
- Consider adding it 'contrib' after the release and after working issue out.
- Add it to 'examples' now, with hbmk2 make files. (my vote here)

Hello Viktor,

I think that it is a reasonable course of action to begin with.

And I really appreciate your support in advance for help me with the adapting process.

I'll start with moving wxHarbour to examples dir.

That's only my opinion of course, it'd be good to see others'.

Brgds,
Viktor

best regards,

Teo
