Yes I know, and I'm happy that we see know what sort of problems

Rather such app/3rd party lib code should be fixed to use pointers, but for
that to happen we need to define an upgrade path for hbwin APIs. See my
other mail. [ BTW, hbwin is a pretty huge pile of mess, so such cleanup
could be done for most of its components. ]

Until then I suggest to stick with last known working hbwin.lib, f.e.
the one found in my binary distro.
