[...] >As I said it's not ready for production ( and we're not sure >it'll ever be ) for the moment is a proof of concept. We were >waiting for MT since having hundreds of ports ( f.e. 100 users >and 5 exes ) is a security nightmare. Now we hope we can have >only one exe and one port and 500 threads but we're not sure >it'll be possible. We need 24x7x365 reliability. > >I hope I was clear enough. Now one new thread (with own GT and RDD) in Harbour chuck ca. 100 kb. RAM (and not groved for session). It is more (not many) than session in php http serwer, but in contrast harbour client has own GT. See what make Google Chrome - one process on my computer has 2,5 to 35 Mb ! For test I have run hundred browses on thread from Harbour (1Gb Ram on XP Prof.), and cost for this is c.a. 14Mb ram! It probably will less when terminal window will on other-client computer. It is beautiful and giv big promise. BTW, new cart from GoogleChrome giv on stack process new process (one aplicaction have many process). New thread from Harbour giv new aplicattion and process stil one (one process have many aplication). best regards, Marek Horodyski _______________________________________________ Harbour mailing list Harbour@harbour-project.org http://lists.harbour-project.org/mailman/listinfo/harbour
