I can understand the feelings of Jan to be honest.

I have no idea what kind of newsgroup is where you've
posted this message, but if XBase++ developers frequent
it, this can easily be taken as offense and the result
is kinda predictable.

Set aside the above, I think we have enough expertise
and available information (maybe even working copies
of XBase++ for testing) to be able to polish the MT
support to have the best available solution, be it fully
or partially XBase++ compatible.

So I think it's up to us local XBase++ users to make
anything like the above happen. [ I'm no XBase++ user BTW. ]

So far though, no test results were posted on Przemek's
request, which makes it look like we don't even care
that much.

Viktor

Hi

And I got this reply:

Pritpal,

why should I as a Xbase++ developer help a competitor to advance its
product???

And why do you ask for our help in the Xbase++ generic newsgroup? In my
eyes this is trolling. This has nothing to do with Xbase++.

Maybe you should visit the thread started by Massimo in the soapbox
newsgroup. This will help you to understand how Xbase++ developers think
about this.

Maybe in future times I and others should start some interesting threads
in the Harbour groups about the great new enhancements within Xbase++?
Lets see how other harbour developers react to this!

Jan
