Technically speaking it is possible. If you build it with MingW you get a working executable. However it's probably the least suitable platform to run a network-oriented program. I think that most users (if any at all) do that only for experimentation, debugging, or just unimportant stuff. In any case I doubt you'll find much help on the subject, so if you go into that direction and face problem you may be on your own, so that's definitely one aspect to consider. Willy
