Thanks for that. I'm the sort that learns by doing and find most of the guides 
too in-depth and over my head.

I assume after installing everything then install cubecart and it will find 
everything and ask to setup a new database.

Start with:

# apt install apache2 libapache2-mod-php php-mysql mariadb-client
mariadb-server

(MariaDB is a replacement for MySQL).

Then try to get your application working. Any problems, comes back to the
list (you'll learn far more by trying it than by simply following an
online document).
