Dear Hackmeeting,
At the last hackmeeting I said a bit about the CCC and the upcoming
congress. I was then asked to provide some more details.
The 37c3 is the 37th in person CCC[1] gathering. This a a large event
for and by the CCC and affiliated communities (anyone who is
interested). The event will have about 14.000 participants and will be
held in Hamburg. It will be a mix of talks and workshops curated by
the organisation and by communities. Next to this there is a large
social element of communities and projects getting together, meeting
up and sharing their projects. And a good amount of party.
Ah, and it's always between christmas and new years, but you can come
early to run away from family and help with build-up.
Because of it's size, the relatively small venue (The congress center
in Hamburg), and it's popularity the ticket system is a bit
complicated. There will be a few fases of ticket sales the first two
requiring vouchers, the second two not, but those will sell out within
1-2minutes.
If you want to make it and not play the ticket-lottery in the last two
rounds, vouchers are a way to go. The CCC doesn't have a good overview
of the communities and dynamics in the either Italy or Spain. So in
order to get vouchers it's good to sent a request about who you are,
that would like to attend, how many you would estimate would want to
come and that you would like some vouchers. Somewhere in the coming 5

[1] The CCC or Chaos Computer Club is a masssive, mostly german hacker
association with chapters all over the country and two outside the
country(austria and switzerland). They are member paid and run and
explicitly anti-fascist.
