I can confirm that was it. Recreated the database with the snapshot version.

Importantly, the UPDATE operation now completes within 11s (200k rows), so 
it seems like the bug if fixed.

Thanks a lot and I'm looking forward to the stable version. Is there 
already a timeline for its release?
