5GB is really not that much data these days. Copy it to your local machine

(1) Run EXPLAIN ANALYZE <query> overnight on your machine.
(2) If that still doesn't finish, try write a little program that connects using JDBC and runs your test case, and uses
the H2 sampling profiler. Start a java.util.Timer in the background that cancels the PreparedStatement after 10 minutes,
and post the output from the profiler here.
