Hi, I see that there is an interest, even from sizable companies, in adding some encryption capabilities to Lucene: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LUCENE-6966
Since H2 authors seem to have some experience in this area (H2 supports encryption and it can also interact with Lucene for full-text search) I thought that maybe you could be interested in this. For example you might get hired to do some Lucene-specific contract work. Or maybe to modify H2 so that it can be somehow used as an encrypted backend for Lucene. I'm just an hobbyist programmer and would love to see encryption implemented in Lucene. In the hope to raise awareness about this opportunity I'll also post something along these lines to the HSQLDB user list and add a comment to the Lucene ticket mentioning both communities.
