To me, the Frankie Drake Mysteries aren’t nearly as good as Murdock.

How about the Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries set in Australia? Another good
mystery/costume series.

I try not to notice the costumes too much in any series because it tends to spoil the series for me.

BBC has filmed quite a lot of Agatha Christie novels, some of them twice. (Or more?) Those are uniformly good. Two or three good versions have been filmed of Wilkie Collind' novels The Woman in White and The Moonstone. Ripper Street is a good series. The Sergeant Cribb mysteries are good.  Foyle's War is excellent. Bletchley Circle is good, the spin-off not so much.  I liked Bletchley Circle because my mother worked as a code breaker in the US counterpart at Arlington Hall.
