Hey Allison,

Go Dawgs!! I'm a retired biologist, though never attended classes myself here
- worked with the state soybean breeding program, which is part of the
university.

As to costuming, my (amateur!) period outfits have all been made for various
little theatre programs in town or interpreters in our historical homes. But
this Fall, the state botanical gardens (also in Athens) will host an outdoor
living history component featuring characters such as William Bartram, as part
of their Heritage Festival. If the pandemic has let up by then, I'll be
involved in building those costumes, which range between 1730 - 1900. Need to
bone up on the Regency, that's for sure!

Jennie

Wow, list come back to life! Good to hear from you all!

I'm also doing the mask making, though I'm not part of an organized effort.
I'm not sure what comes next, though in weeding the cotton out of my stash
I found a lot of wool I'd forgotten I had. I've also meant to do a
hand-sewn pair of 16th c stays from Matthew Gnagy's books so I might do
that.

Jennie in Athens - I went to UGA many years ago. I'm glad to hear from
someone from my old haunts.

Allison (in DC)
