Actually your totally wrong. I was doing it because of one simple thing,
most of the stuff is written in Python and the bundle is one executable.
Now for each you could download each with at least a size of 3.8 to 4 megs
each or just download one file and the rest is there based on the selection in
the app control screen.
So, since each on it's own is a module, all are bundle in one executable as
one module not downloaded as a different app. The control panel would allow the
decision and not the hotkey; where a hotkey could be assigned based on user
choice only.
So, you are just totally wrong on your assumption and will leave it at that.

Just a tiny question and thought here.
How smart is it REALLY, to bundle all your different stuff in one big
download? OK, I can see, that if a developer makes one app, that rely on
other apps of his in functioning, it will be adviceable for him to include
all that is needed in his downloaddable. But if you create milk, butter,
screw-driver, and car key apps, how wise is it to force all your stuff on
the end-user.
Several times, we see on the list, people who ask how they can possibly get
"junk-free" downloads of different software. Sorry for the comparison, since
I never meant to say that any of your apps - Bruce or anyone else - is
considered junk. It is really hard work behind, and I do appreciate this.
Yet, why I compared it with the junk-bundles, is because you may end up
throwing away your hard efforts, on people who only wanted one small app of
yours. Just because someone wants a better way of handling the clipboard,
does not in any way indicate that they want a battle game. Maybe people does
not even want that kind of games on their computer, due to personal
opinions.
OK, you could argue me, that it is this simple: You don't want all my stuff,
leave the package alone. And, I will agree fully with you. That is the great
freedom of choice we have, comes to the app central. You go there, you
download what you want and need, and leave the rest. Still, Bruce, don't you
agree, it would be a pity if your hard work on the clipboard app, or the
cuckoo clock, if people stopped downloading it due to them disagreeing with
the rest of your bundle? Allright, you could tell them that they can install
the bundle, and then delete the stuff they don't want, but why create a
bundle if people are going to throw half of it away after all? Besides, many
a user will not be comfortable with manually deleting stuff. And, some may
not even be comfortable in downloading things that hold stuff they don't
specifically ask for.
You know, GW could have done the same, simply made one big download of all
the apps available, and forced people to install the whole bunch. See if
that is what we want? Smile.
I do see, that you - like the rest of us who meddle with app development and
maintainance - want a great number of users to make the fullest benefit of
your efforts. That is nothing wrong. After all, why else would we bother
releasing our material? But I still hold, it should be every user's right,
for him or herself, to determine if they want stand-alone products or not.
And, in one way, I do see little connection in me wanting a good clipboard
functionality, or would it be a well-designed clock, and the battle game or
some of the other stuff you mentioned. If I want a clock, I would greatly
prefer to download the clock, and stick with that. Do I want a music player,
well let me download and enjoy that one, but please don't force me to get a
bunch of stuff I did not ask for, and which may somehow happen to conflict
with other things on my computer.
You likely now will tell me, that you are not aware that anything will
contradict or conflict the rest of my system. Likely not. And still, what if
I downloaded the music player, and I am informed that this and that hotkeys
will control it. I am a happy user, way up till I hit another hotkey, that
usually would perform some action from another app on my computer. The only
problem is, that now this hotkey opens the cuckoo clock, and I may be
confused, since I never had any cuckoo clock on my computer, and am not
aware of it ever been installed. So, I go on the list, telling my issue, and
learn that this clock was thrown on me as part of me installing the music
player.
Sorry, guys, but I do think there will be a handful people with me, that
will stop downloading and enjoying the one app I was originally using - due
to the fact that things now got bundled up. Some may call me pecky here, but
I do want to warn against bundling material that has little or nothing to do
with each other. I strongly recommend that any developer who is aware that
his app needs, or relies on, any of his other material - please will you
bundle all needed material with your app download. Yet, just as strongly, I
would recommend to leave separate, stand-alone products, in each their
download. After all, if anyone else wants the rest of your stuff, it is no
big pain to download the separate material.
One suggestion, that crosses my mind: If you really want to promote all your
stuff to any user of the individual products, why do¨'t you include an entry
on the app's menu, saying something like:
More apps from same developer
That way, the user could quickly get to the stuff you have released.
With the chance, that I happened to misunderstand your message and
intentions Bruce, I wanted to share those thoughts on a general bases, with
all on the list.

It sounds like a nice feature for better sound quality.
I also have written a new Cuckoo clock program that works using several
file formats and has adjustable volume. The present one which is on the app
list only uses the WE Object Model Playsound and that is limited to no
adjustments or file types.
I got sidetracked on 2 other projects but will introduce mine soon and
maybe all of them as one app.
One which also has the File to Clipboard in it, and probably all my
games. For I am going to merge them all as one executable program that would
also work as a stand alone outside of the WE App scriptor; as someone in PA.
had requested for users that have no screen reader or not GW's reader.
It will also have it's own Jukebox or Mixer Player. Allowing you to
select what list of music to play, how many times to replay it and adjust
the volume and replay and more.
The thing I got side tracked on is the Clipboard app and it works but
have been adding features to it. A quick sort routine which I already use in
the Uninstall program will be added next for I do sorting of the file list
selected in the ClipFile app.
That ClipFile app allows you to select a batch of files and add or
append to the clipboard list then if you wish, sort them,or open them and
transfer all the file data to the clipboard.
I am working on other options like save all data to another file as well
along with the sorting and such...
Having this Clipboard app called ClipFile brings another feature people
do not have in programs. The ability to select files using Windows Explorer
then actually extract the file names only and place them on the Clipboard
text area.
By doing this it allows you to open files selected, copy it's data, copy
them as well and also paste them just like the clipboard already does, but
gives you hands on the names themselves...
I have been doing this the last 2 weeks and getting close to finishing
it as long as I stop adding features to it.
Hopefully your app will work well.
