Hi Chip,

I was out all afternoon mowing the lawn and pulling weeds, perfect weather
today.

The 2010 when in Intelligent mode it will essentially lock-up.

It is trying to say all the suggestions and hints that 2010 displays on the
screen. Essentially I have to shut off debug mode completely, but that is
impossible for if you have code errors that screen will almost pop-up. At times
it gets stuck there.

The main design of 2010 was to give any user all the hints, suggestions,
replacements in the world so that person essentially does not have to think,
let alone, read the book.

so, the main thing is how to capture all those suggestions and hints, read
them or say them maybe using a hotkey. I have not asked anyone sighted about
the screen but if these hints are in a different color/background then maybe
then can be captured for storage and use at will.

That is the main problem with 2010 for the screen is always on the move and
Windoweyes is trying to speak all that activity present on the screen.

so when a person wants to use it, just remember not to have any of the
debug on, go through all the option menus and any place that mentions about
display stuff for hints or debug, shut them off.
Like I said, if there in a different color and back ground, then find a way
to capture that and read back to the user using either a hotkey or other means
so it does not lock-up windoweyes entire time trying to speak them as they get
displayed.

The error window is displayed with a standard 2010 hotkey, but even that
window is a real pain to read, but knowing the language you can easily figure
out what messed up in the programming.

there is not much else I can suggest in that for once I silenced the
background chatter I had no problem using the 2010 Studio.

        Sincerely
        Bruce

  Bruce,

Could you write up what someone has to do in order to use 2010? What do you
mean exactly by "special features" having to be turned off, and does anything
else need to be done?

  Thanks.

  Chip

  Hi Rick,

I was wondering about that Rick, what issues have you discovered using
2012?

The 2010 is OK as long as all those special features are turned off...

With all my issues and delays and crashes with 2010 I still managed to
get a 93.4% as a final grade. Meaning I was penalized from not doing a perfect
book author format and my software, along with Microsoft, not being user
friendly with what I have to use.

The semester is over and a good learning experience.

If you have tired 2012 let me know what the issues are before I attempt
using it.
