Hi Jeff,

The latest version of Cuckoo Clock is up now. Aaron fixed the issue this
morning, it was not working last night.
This version only added the ability to turn off the lid opening, or wakeup
from Screen savor issues. Since some people did not want the thing to make any
sounds when opening the lid of there notebook and I agree if there in a
situation where the sound could be annoying.

Since this is because the timer fires and I did not do a small one minute
window of alert it would fire any time within the setting window, even up to an
hour if only the hour chime was set.

Now, I did set this only using a minute window and we will see if they want
the window down to seconds then I will just add that as well.
It is a simple fix and has a menu option for it in the clock menu just
below the Announce Enhanced Time Hot key.

Still have not had the time to do the volume control feature yet. There I
may have to use my own PlaySound function instead of the built in one; since
the Audio kit has too many issues to use it. Yet I may write my own shared
object as soon as I have time to.

    Enjoy, Bruce

When I attempted to download it, I got the message that

The package failed validation. What I got was 1 kb.

  Hi Chip,

Yes, I just found out and sent an email concerning this. My response to
you will come after my statement.

I thought it was my program, so now I know it was not.

I can send it to you directly.

    Bruce,

Let me just warn you to pay attention when you upload an updated app; be
sure to look at the follow-up screen after you click on the "update app"
button; I am unable to update my app right now because the GW web site keeps
saying my new .wepm file has a virus, and it won't let me apply my new update.

Unfortunately though, it seems to tell users though there's been an update,
even though the update didn't get uploaded. I wasn't paying close attention to
the follow-up web page, so I hadn't notice that GW was rejecting it.

Hopefully GW will get to look at this soon.

    OK Chip,

I have the other changes just have not packaged it up.

I guess I could do that now. I spent this afternoon getting more
chapters for the VB 2010 and C++ from the on-line book...and now done with that.

Not yet Bruce, afraid when I have free time I'm chasing my own bugs
<grin>

      Hi Chip,

did you fix the Cuckoo Clock issue? On line 795 is the fault and
adding the mod 15 for a minute test should fix it. I have a flag test added and
may post the fix tonight which will include a on/off flag for those who like it
announcing when out of sleep mode as David had suggested. I actually can
duplicate the issue when my tower goes into sleep mode from the screen saver
event...

             Sincerely

             Bruce
