Hi Chip and Dave,

That will be a simple fix and I probably should update it anyway since I
have not touched it in almost 2 years.

That flag is just that it only looks at the time past and not a range, I
know that for it will even fire way beyond a quarter hour, but did not think of
someone sleeping there computer and it firing. A minor fix.

I was also thinking of adding volume control to it since each sound is a
file which is what the hourly did and only used there sound files with some
added ones for extra features.
I think it is about time to over-haul it and clean things up since there
are a lot of stuff which can be shortened down; just like all my programs since
I do not have the time to clean up after the original write.

I may even add the stop watch feature as well for those who want it.

I also hope the Uninstall program helped a little on the tree view since I
use several tricks in it. Tabbing to a button to do something from the selected
item, like the URL and Email features I added to it besides the uninstall
feature.

So, will get on it since I have some free time today.

    Thanks, Bruce

Subject: a cuckoo clock suggestion

Hi Bruce,

Just wanted to mention that I've recently switched from hourly chime to your
cuckoo clock program. I have a laptop, and I have the program set just to
give me a time announcement upon the hour.

What I'm finding is that if I put the laptop into sleep mode by closing the
lid (say at 7:30), and then I open it up at say 8:30, I'll hear the
announcement for the "time is 8 o'clock" as soon as I open the lid.

I think this is caused by the hourly timer firing then when I open up the
lid; what I want to suggest is that in your routine which is called when the
timer fires, you might check to see if the time is really what you are about
to announce; if it is not (as in my case), then do nothing.

Thanks.

Chip
