Not sure about Codeberg, but GitHub keeps even deleted branches, since it needs to reference the commits from pull request pages (even if the pull request was just closed). I would expect Codeberg to do the same. -- There are only two hard things in Computer Science: cache invalidation, naming things and off-by-one errors.
