Hey Guix,

This is Rutherther, I have been in the community just for slighly more
than a year and decided to apply for commit access now
due to the release. I would definitely apply either way, just later.
From today, I am officially a commiter in the Guix repository!

In the following month I am planning to work mainly on the release as I am
part of the release team. Because of this I might not have enough time
in to do many reviews.

Afterwards I would like to focus mostly on core features of Guix, both
inside the guix repo and outside. I have already shared some of my ideas
on how I think we could make Guix better in a few regards, here on the mailing
list or in issues, such as:
- https://codeberg.org/guix/guix/pulls/2223
I would also like to focus on making Guix more cross-compile friendly as
currently there are a lot of packages that do not really cross compile.
I find it important to be able to cross compile inside of a shell,
that's why I created https://codeberg.org/Rutherther/guix-cross-shells,
I will definitely look into upstreaming at least parts of it. In case
anyone was interested, I would welcome doing brainstorming session on
such problems later on, to try to figure out most effective and scalable
solutions. More people always help against tunnel vision.

Apart from contributions I am quite active on IRC and on the mailing lists,
trying to help users to solve their problems. I like to learn this way.

Have a nice day,
Rutherther
