Hello Guix!

Getting back from vacation, I’ve been thinking about what our priorities
could be for the coming months:

  1. Continuous integration for pull requests. It will improve
legibility (for contributors and reviewers), increase reliability
(for users: fewer breakages), and reduce frustration for everyone.

     See <https://codeberg.org/guix/maintenance/pulls/18> and Cuirass’
Forgejo support (new release Real Soon Now).

  2. Release: first step in November!

     See <https://consensus.guix.gnu.org/gcd/005-regular-releases.html>
     and <https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/guix-devel/2025-08/msg00098.html>.

  3. Infrastructure: Our infra has been unreliable for months, remaining
afloat thanks to a handful of people. We need more folks on board,
and probably more documentation/guidance to make that happen.

     See

What do people think?

Should we create working groups with periodic meetings to increase
bandwidth among interested parties?
