This was briefly discussed at the Guix Days, and I think Andy and I
agree that this would be a good move.

I’m still digesting the previous migration :-) but I’m happy to help
other committers should we agree with this move.

I know you’re mostly demonstrating what the problem is, but I’d like to
point out the mumi interface to Debbugs that Arun set up in April IIRC:

(The page at <https://www.gnu.org/software/guile/contribute/> also does
a reasonable job, but I understand this may not be the first thing
people get from their search engine.)

I concur with the overall message of Ekaitz.  We should empower existing
committers more and, importantly, make sure we committers can encourage
and provide a space for existing contributors to eventually become
committers as well and take on more responsibilities (and yes, I plaid
guilty for not having taken enough time to do that!).
