Indeed, because of this, it will definitely be a bring-your-own boot
firmware/bootloader (u-boot) kind of scenario, at least for the
near-future. Much like most x86_64 systems ship with a BIOS or EFI.

If everything goes well an example Guix System configuration could
either use grub-efi or an extlinux-style menu. Modern u-boot provides an
EFI implementation or can read extlinux-style menus.
