I haven't tried to package it, but the issue might probably be that the java environment in Guix is pretty poor, there's most likely a lot of work before we can package the Scilab GUI.
That said, I haven't even tried, so maybe it's less difficult than I expect! Don't hesitate to take a look if you have some time for that :) -- Best regards, Nicolas Graves
