Hello, as mentioned previously on the Guix Europe mailing list, Tweags has graciously donated a few laptops they decomissioned to Guix Foundation.
Precisely, we have these machines: - 6 Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Gen9 - 1 Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Gen8 - 1 Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Gen7 - 2 Dell XPS - 1 HP Elitebook Folio 9470m in my home and two others (I do not know what they are) at our Treasury's. I added 4 of the Gen9 Thinkpads to the Bordeaux build farm, but they may be overwhelming my Internet access... In any case, I would like to keep one or two of them. Otherwise we could give out the others to Guix developers in need of a more powerful machine compared to what they have now (the Gen9 machines are amazingly powerful, with a 4 core 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz, and a 4k screen on which my aging eyes find it difficult to read, at least in terminal mode...). If you think this is your case, please get in touch with us, in particular if you plan to participate in the Guix Days in Brussels or at FOSDEM, since this would be a good occasion to meet.
