This could be done in the start/stop methods of ‘user-processes’ in (gnu services base) using the utmpx procedures from (guix build syscalls). Eventually it would be nice to move utmp support in the Shepherd proper, but that entails a bit of code churn (having the utmp API available from Shepherd, etc.). HTH, Ludo’.
