i've pulled and reconfigured into the recently merged core-updates changes, and
then i tried to compile shepherd from a git checkout of the devel branch.
$ ./configure
[...]
./configure: line 7268: PKG_PROG_PKG_CONFIG: command not found
configure: error: pkg-config is missing, please install it
$ pkg-config --version
0.29.2
then i tried to autoconf it:
$ autoconf
configure.ac:52: warning: PKG_PROG_PKG_CONFIG is m4_require'd but not m4_defun'd
aclocal.m4:49: GUILE_PKG is expanded from...
configure.ac:52: the top level
the referenced line is this: GUILE_PKG([3.0])
i.e. guile seems to be involved somehow.
any ideas?
