Okay, I'll start implementing this proposal on November 1 if there's no objection :)
I think most of the changes can be done and kept unchanged regardless of future changes to the operating system name or the purpose of Guix. I'm hoping to get things ready before FOSDEM and LibrePlanet (and hopefully before/during the jolly season).
