Given no comment and limited skills, I ended up just applying the patch to linux-libre@5.12 b5069d8eaa09d20ed622b284f4004b155fc11ef8 It would still be very nice to be able to do this sort of thing per-architecture, if anyone might be able to take a look at it! :) live well, vagrant
