These things grow over time. I think with our current knowledge we could put it to the vote. Also some of the default behaviour may be up for discussion (such as using guixbuild user by default for the daemon). One way to handle it is to have a new CLUI and a guix-legacy CLI to handle the old one for the time being noting that a switch is going obsolete. A phased approach, in other words. Pj.
