I haven’t had a chance to have a closer look at your patch, but would you mind elaborating on the “* Free software only.” part of your stated feature-set and if/how it addresses licensing concerns raised previously e.g. by bill-auger here[1] with respect to the FSDG status of Chromium, as well as maintaining solidarity with other FSDG-complying distros?
