Emacs is probably the best tool for working on Guix, but I have been using Vim for Guix for a few years now. The 'paredit' Vim plugin helps a lot with Scheme and Lisp code: https://github.com/vim-scripts/paredit.vim https://www.vim.org/scripts/script.php?script_id=3998
