Hi,

The book Naming & Logic teaches Guile Scheme on just 64 DinA6 pages:

https://www.draketo.de/software/programming-scheme

It works via self-contained examples to try in a REPL that build on each
other and does not assume any prior programming experience, but it moves
quickly and gets readers from the first (define ...) to deploying as
webserver, hoot wasm, or guix tarball with executable.

The guiding thread of the book is a map of the minimal functionality you
need from Scheme to write and then deploy meaningful programs.

Like most of my other works it is Free Culture (cc by-sa and LGPLv3+)
with the org-mode source available¹. You can read it online as website
or get it as PDF². If you want to support me, please buy a print
version, either from epubli

https://www.epubli.com/shop/naming-and-logic-9783565028139

or from a local book shop via ISBN-13: 978-3-565-02813-9³.

Naming & Logic compiles the essence of my understanding and the best
practices with Guile Scheme I learned in the past decade and I hope it
gives you new ideas or new ways to show friends how the practical
minimalism of Scheme enables a much faster entry into programming.

If you like it, please share it widely!

Best wishes,
Arne
