   pt_BR.utf8 is not a supported locale on your system.

Could the spelling be part of the problem?  On my computer,
i see:

 $ locale -a
 C
 C.UTF-8
 POSIX
 it_IT.utf8

but also note that:

 $ printenv | grep LANG
 LANG=it_IT.UTF-8

and /usr/share/i18n/SUPPORTED is full of ".UTF-8", only.
