Quite right. Even lamer is not mentioning GNU Go as a dependency in
the 0.1 README! A good opportunity to fix some buglets and spew some
more in HACKING, then, not to mention the irresistible call of the
Goddess Procrastes...

Previously, back-to-back messages w/ M1 wider than M2 (e.g., M1
"no variations" and M2 "no more") would result in text from M1
showing up in M2. This no longer occurs.
- bugfix: "make check" substitutes VERSION correctly
Previously, the well-meaning but ultimately wrong auto-fu was
used to generate file src/sgf/eg from template, resulting in the
property ‘EV’ having value "sgfv @VERSION@ demo". Now we DTRT.
- sgfv now ignores pre-collection text
SGF allows pre-collection text, to facilitate handling of email
saved to a file, for example. Previously sgfv barfed on that.
Now, it ignores it, up to a "(;" at bol (leading whitespace
notwithstanding). Strictly speaking, there could be whitespace
between the open-paren and the semicolon; sgfv still loses in
that case.
