Could you please try getting the latest version of `branch_release-1-8' from CVS? Try something along the lines of: $ cvs -z3 -d:pserver:@cvs.savannah.gnu.org:/sources/guile \ co guile-core -r branch_release-1-8 $ cd guile-core $ autoreconf -i --force && ./configure && make && make check See http://savannah.gnu.org/cvs/?group_id=39 for details. Or you can wait until 1.8.2 is released, which should hopefully happen within a few weeks.
