Hello! After discussing it this week-end, Andy and I agreed that it may be best to revert foreign objects on ‘stable-2.0’ to break the longstanding deadlock.
So I just did that with commit ff98cbb. I couldn’t use directly ‘git revert’ because there had been several commits, so I instead removed the source and test files and selectively reverted the documentation bits. I think I didn’t miss anything, but you’re welcome to double-check and report any issues. Hopefully this will allow us to release 2.0.12. We can resume discussion on what to do with this API anytime, and without the “pressure” that it’s “already there.” Thank you gentlefolks! Ludo’.
