The module actually works with guile (it replaces the default bindings for lambda, let, let* and define), but it provides much more than that (reexports most of srfi-1 or (ice-9 regex)), so some may argue that it's too much. I could prepare a smaller version of the module that perhaps could make it into the official distribution, if guile maintainers have nothing against, and send a patch
