Thanks loads for all of the information! Unfortunately, the dummy program that you attached wasn't actually attached. I'd love to see it, though, so I can get a direct look at what I've been doing wrong here. This whole event-driven/object-oriented programming world is entirely new to me; I've never tried anything other than procedural programming before. I decided that it's time my programs stopped looking like they're still written for DOS, so this is my first attempt to do something goo-ey. It's interesting, but the concepts are new and it's taking a while to wrap my mind around the way that this is supposed to work. Your message here gives me a great point for further reading and experimentation.
