have you tried running the code in valgrind on Linux to test this for sure? try: G_SLICE=always-malloc G_DEBUG=gc-friendly valgrind --tool=memcheck --num-callers=32 src/your-binary I don't see any obvious problemin your code, but I have no experience with the code you posted.
